John Lennon is speaking about Nostalgia.The Citroen DS3 is basing itself on that concept. Hence the connection. 

Irate fans have lashed out against Yoko Ono for having sold a vintage Lennon clipping to Citroen for the money.I fail to understand what the hoopla is all about here.

Citroen has a concept in common with what Lennon remarked. Had the DS3 advertised through the print medium, they would have quoted Lennon on their advertisement maybe. Since, the ad is on TV, the team has gone ahead and included a video clipping.

Sanctity being damaged? - Where/How? I ask.
