Life is...

like bungee jumping.

When you attempt a jump, you are effectively letting yourself take a 'constricted' free fall. The amount of excitement 'appetite' you have determines the extent of constriction you put on yourself.

Lack of constriction would mean that you jump without a noose tied to your feet. That, in effect, is suicide, not bungee jumping.

Similarly in life, you have to let go of yourself ; you have to release some shackles whilst keeping some constrictions in place. You got to define your boundaries whilst keeping them as broad as possible so as to get ample freedom to operate and excel within them.

Constrictions/restrictions demarcate one's identity. Accomplishments within those constrictions just provide a more granular definition.

Think about it.
