Integrate, reuse ... abuse?
Yes. We shall integrate a set of standalone products to create a solution. This solution, obviously.. can be considered as an integrated service that can be accessed. So we shall try to reuse it. Obviously when i say reuse, we shall be able to integrate the whole integrated service/entity into a different stack and create a larger integrated reusable entity.
Ever been a part of 'brainstorming' sessions where 'plausible' solutions to problems are discussed? Oh, i don't think you noticed properly. The above paragraph was a plausible solution. Plausible, yes ... feasible, reasonable? who is to validate that?
That person who sits with his/her head dunk in neck deep code ideally should. But does that person have the bandwidth/energy to do it? Usually no.
End result - Odes to plumbing jobs, irrigation projects while finalizing THE plausible solution. Takes just 40 seconds to come up with the top 4 lines of this writeup doesn't it? I shudder to ask this to that person who is immersed in code trying to fit all of it in.
Do integrate and definitely do reuse but kindly refrain from abuse - abuse of these seemingly heavy-headed terms which actually have pertinence in someone else's life.
